Rijn Ijssel is the Regional educationel centre for Arnhem, Wageningen and the surrounding area. With more than 13,500 students, Rijn Ijssel is the largest school for secondary vocational education and education in Gelderland. Electronic lockers

In cooperation with Sonesto LoQit has been able to provide the new lockers of Rijn Ijssel with an electronic locking system. From 2021, more than 4,000 new lockers will be installed, both for students and staff, at various locations. Later this year, more than 2000 lockers will be placed at another location and equipped with LoQit’s electronic locking system. 

Software as a Service (SaaS)

Rijn Ijssel uses LoQit’s SaaS application – the option to purchase the complete locker management as a service. Thanks to this option, all systems are always equipped with the latest functionalities and security. The LoQit system is easy to link with other systems for an efficient working method and keeping all data up to date. Moreover, you can easily scale up and add functionalities. 

Rijn IJssel uses a mix of different functionalities. 

• A combination of fixed and dynamic use of the lockers.
• Paid locker user via the Wallet, a private and unique payment platform within the KUARIO app.
• A combination of two functions intermingled: the push-to-open and POP function.

Core Data Centres, iLOQ and the system integrator successfully worked together to formulate a locking system that could ensure smooth and secure access to servers in the Canadian data center.

Core Data Centres Inc. owns and operates several state-of-the-art data centers in Canada. With the company providing solutions ranging from cloud and information technology services to managed services and colocation, maintaining high levels of security is vital.

Rack space is leased to many customers meaning there is a constant flow of people needing to access their own servers. Any breach in security by unauthorised individuals can have severe consequences for both the company managing the center and for the blue-chip clients whose critical data has been penetrated.

Customers wholly rely on the data center to provide a secure environment. However, the traditional access management systems on the market proved to be very expensive and there were challenges with the need for a power source and cabling.
